You have to spend money to make money – Retail Recruitment
A recent article in the Montgomery Advertiser talks about how Autauga County wants to stimulate more retail growth, but has to wait to see if plans for new sewer system are approved. This is just one of the many pieces of infrastructure that retailers look for when finding their next location. Some citizens are against adding new infrastructure because they want to see immediate return on investment. The growth of your retail sector is not going to happen over night. It is important to have patience, make sure your community is doing what it takes to prepare itself for future retail opportunities, and don’t give up. Remember new retail growth creates jobs, adds shopping convenience to your citizens, and also brings in sales tax dollars that you can spend systemwide to benefit your entire community.
